Winter programm coming soon...

The SEG Student Chapter Munich is currently organizing the winter semester 14/15 program, including invited speakers and experts on mineral deposit formation, block courses for members and non-members, as well as field trips to regional mineral deposits.

Among other highlights the SEG Student Chapter will host a course on Drilling Methods in Mineral Exploration in December 2014 presented by Mr. B. Steiner, an experienced industry geologist.  Among other topics the course will include Chosing Drillings Methods, Logistics, Borehole Geophysics & Surveying, and Sampling.

Sommersemester 2014 Programm

The SEG Student Chapter Munich is pleased to announce the summer term 2014 program. We invited four speakers to talk about mineral deposit exploration, gypsum as a commodity, gold mineralization and copper deposit exploration. The talks are held at the TUM, Lehrstuhl für Ingenieurgeologie, room 2408 (2. Stock, Eingang Nr. VIII or IX in Luisenstaße).

Achtung: Die Vorträge finden an unterschiedlichen Tagen statt und beginnen zu unterschiedlichen Uhrzeiten!

Summer term 2013 program

The SEG Student Chapter Munich is pleased to announce the summer term 2013 program. We invited four speakers to talk about regional mineral commodities (graphite and tungsten), international iron ore (BIFs in Australia), and anthropogenic Pb-Zn sources in waste combustion slags. The first 2 talks were held on tuesdays, 5:15 PM at the TUM, Lehrstuhl für Ingenieurgeologie, room 2408 on May 14th and June 5th. The 3rd talk is on July 4th in room 3404. The location of the talk on friday, July 12th will be announced soon. We will also organize field trips on various topics such as tungsten, lead-zinc, fluviatile sand & gravel, and clay deposits close to Munich and Landshut, and in Austria.

The talk by Steffen Hagemann will be part of the Weekly Seminars of the "Frontiers in Earth Sciences" at the LMU on Friday, 14:00 – 16:00, Luisenstr. 37, Room HS 131
